Mazda Protege Owner's and Workshop Manuals

The Mazda Protegé is a compact car that was produced by Mazda from 1990 to 2003. It was sold under different names in various markets, including Mazda 323, Mazda Familia, and Mazda Allegro.

The Protegé went through several generations during its production run, each with its own design and mechanical updates. The early generations featured a more boxy and angular design, while the later generations adopted a more rounded and aerodynamic styling.

The Protegé was available in different body styles, including sedan and hatchback. It gained popularity for its reliable performance, fuel efficiency, and affordability, making it a popular choice among budget-conscious car buyers.

Over the years, the Protegé received updates in terms of engines, transmissions, and technology features. It offered a range of gasoline engines, typically ranging from 1.3 to 2.0 liters in displacement, depending on the generation and market.

The Protegé also had some performance-oriented variants, such as the Mazda Protegé ES and Mazda Protegé Mazdaspeed, which featured sportier suspension setups, upgraded engines, and additional styling enhancements.

In 2004, Mazda replaced the Protegé with the Mazda3, which was a continuation of the Protegé lineage. The Mazda3 built upon the success of the Protegé and continued to be a popular choice in the compact car segment.

Please note that my knowledge cutoff is in September 2021, so there might have been newer developments or information about the Mazda Protegé beyond that point.
